Jayce Robinson Surfs a Huge Irish Swell

Jayce and the boys take on the first big swell of the Irish big wave season.
A short calm spell early on Monday morning gave Jayce and the other tow surf teams a shot at some 20ft plus barrels at Mullagmore the gnarly left in west Ireland.
With some of the Mully regulars calling it the hollowest, nastiest barrels ever seen at the spot, it was to be a real test for the new tow surf partnership of Jayce and Lyndon.
To say they fronted up is a bit of an understatement with Jayce getting one of the waves of the day (see photo), unfortunately he paid the price too.
The boys were the first into the line up and after a month of waiting for a big swell were keen to get stuck in. After watching some 20 footers roll through from the channel Jayce towed Lyndon into about a half dozen waves.
As the morning progressed and Jayce picked up the rope the conditions had cleaned right up and Lydon towed him into an absolute bomb.
Fully committed to racing a huge fast wall on one of the hollowest waves seen that day, Jayce got swallowed, churned up and spat out breaking his board and dislocating his knee in the process.
All safe and sound, we wish Jayce a speedy recovery. The latest is that the injury is not as bad as first feared and Jayce has high hopes to return to Ireland in the new year in readyness for the big winter swells.
Check out Jayce and the boys catching a few.
