Jayce Robinson gains Billabong XXL award nomination

On the morning of 12 December 2011 during one of the biggest swells in recent memory, Jayce was towed into a wave which will live long in his memory.
In his first full time season of big wave surfing Jayce has proved he's got what it takes and in recognition has received a nomination for the coveted Billabong XXL awards.
We're so stoked for Jayce, to perform in such heavy surf whilst battling against just about the harshest surfing enviroment is one thing, but to be one of the standout guys on the biggest day of the winter so far takes real commitment.
On top of this Jayce paid his dues taking a real beating on the wave which has bagged him a Billabong XXL nomination in the biggest wave category.

The Billabong XXL awards are an annual award in recognition of those surfers who continually push the boundaries in big wave surfing around the globe.
As far as big wave surfing goes they are the pinnacle and the list of past winners and nominees reads like a who's who of big wave surfing on the world stage.
A proud day for English surfing and a massive acheivement for Jayce. Hats off.
